CCTV Footage Shows Businessman Outsmart 4 Police Officers in Nairobi Robbery Attempt

CCTV footage from a building along Mama Ngina Street on Tuesday, January 10, showed how four police officers staged a robbery on a staff of a foreign exchange bureau in Nairobi.

The video reviewed by

 Kenyans.co.ke

denoted a daring and calculative move by the officers who were hellbent on robbing the businessman of money amounting to Ksh2 million. The businessman reportedly runs a forex bureau along the busy street.

In the video, two businessmen who left their office along Mama Ngina Street were aggressively accosted by a group of police officers as they walked to a nearby bank.

The two, who were on their way to deposit around Ksh2 million at a bank, were stopped by the officers who demanded to know the content of their bag.

On sensing danger, the duo threw their bags to a security guard who was manning the forex bureau.

In response, the security guard ran inside the forex bureau with the two bags, leaving the police officers with nothing to steal.

An Administrative Police Officer who was manning a nearby premise also went to the businessmen's rescue as the detectives attempted to ransack the traders.

In order for them to conceal their motives, the police officers arrested the two businessmen and tried to force them inside a car that was packed near the forex bureau.

However, members of the public ganged up against the

 rogue detectives

and forced them to release the traders.

The four officers were later positively identified.

 They were later intercepted

and arrested by their colleagues in Muthaiga while on a different mission.

DCI officers who conducted

 the arrest

also recovered two pistols while the car they were using was detained at the Regional police headquarters in Nairobi.
