The situation was tense in Modakeke, Osun state to be precised on Saturday when a 55- year- old woman by name Iya Elekuru was killed and her body parts dissected into different parts in the Osun Community.

It was alleged that the poor woman was dragged into a house and killed by unknown individuals and hoodlums while shopping in the Ogbingin area, Ile- Ife osun state at 10: 50 am being Saturday morning to be precised.

The head and hands of the deceased being madam Iya Elekuru were cut off and it was taken away by the suspects after it has been cut off. The suspects went away with madam Iya Elekuru head and hands after it had been chopped off from the rest of her body parts.

Some angry youths in Ogbingin area, Ile- Ife osun state set fire to the building where the woman' s body was found. The reason for their action of setting the house in which the dead body was found is best known to them. But some people in the neighbouring village condemned their actions.

Osun State Police Command spokesman SP Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident. He said state police commissioner CP Olawale Olokode had opened an investigation into the case. And surely, the suspects must be brought to book and justice will be brought for Madam Iya Elekuru.

" The remains of the deceased being Madam Iya Elekuru were removed from the deceased' s son House for immediate burial according to the Islamic tradition. She was later buried in her husband' s house and the necessary burial rites were also performed according to their tradition and custom. Many neighbours and villagers around graced the burial of Madam Iya Elekuru In her husband' s house"

The 55- year- old woman was killed and body parts removed from the Osun community was the most tragedy incident that has ever happened in that community. Many villagers could testify that Madam Iya Elekuru was a good woman and did not deserve such an horrible death she got
