6 Places In The World That You Are Forbidden To Visit

There are some places in the world which people are forbidden to visit and that is because some of these places are dangerous, while others are protected from external influence to preserve their natural state. Only a few people are licensed to visit these places, but it is at their own risk and it may come with some conditions.

1. North Sentinel Island, India

The North Sentinel Island is off-limits to outsiders. It is located close to India, it is specifically an island in the Indian ocean. The natives are called Sentinelese. The natives have lived on the island for a large number of years.

They are known for being unfriendly, violent, and unwelcoming to strangers. It is said that they killed a missionary that came to share the gospel with them. They are also known for shooting arrows at helicopters that pass above the Island.

The Indian government forbids tourists and outsiders from visiting the island, so as not to pass any communicable disease to them, because they are yet to fully have immunities for diseases. Most sailors do not sail to that side of the ocean because it is forbidden and they are highly aggressive.

2. Snake Island, Brazil

You may have watched the movie called ‘snake island’. Nevertheless, Snake Island is an Island located in Brazil. This Island lives up to its name because it is filled up with a lot of dangerous and deadly snakes.

It is banned by the Government of Brazil. People are forbidden to visit it because of the risk involved. No one dare go close to this island because these venomous serpents are every step of the way. They are at least 40,000 golden lance heads which are one of the world’s most fatal snakes.

3. Lascaux Caves, France

The Lascaux caves house the famous Paleolithic artwork and It is situated in France. According to archeologists, It is estimated to have been in existence for over 17,000 years.

The cave is closed down and visitors are prohibited from visiting it because the wall arts are fading. It used to be open to tourists but due to the presence of carbon dioxide and humidity, the wall arts are breaking down.

The caves have been classified by UNESCO as a world heritage site, only a security guard goes inside once a week to oversee it, as it is forbidden to the public.

4. Surtsey Island, Iceland

Surrey Island is another island that people are forbidden to enter. The reason why this island is on the list is because of its formation and also for protection. The Island is located in Iceland off its southern coast. It came about as a result of a four-year-long volcanic eruption.

It is also one of the world’s newest islands and only a few accredited scientists and geologists are allowed on this Island as tourists are forbidden to enter it. The Government of Ireland protects this island so that humans will not interfere with its biological succession.

5. Dulce Base, USA.

Have you heard about human-animal hybrid? Well, it is reported that they are formed here. The Dulce base is located in a small village in New Mexico close to the border of Colorado. It is estimated to have a populace of 3000 Native Americans.

This base is forbidden to outsiders because of the nature of its objectives. It is known for conducting numerous experiments and sophisticated technologies. Reports claim that aliens can be found in the base.

6. Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, China

Qin Shi Huang was Chinas first emperor. He died in 210 B.C, his tomb is located deep inside a hill in central China and it is forbidden to enter. It is made up of complicated structures of underground caves filled with clay images of his family, soldiers, servants, horses, and staff.

These statues are known as the ‘Terracotta Army’. It is estimated that a total of 2000 statues have been found since it was first discovered in 1974. Even though the Chinese Government has forbidden people from entering it to pay honor to the dead emperor and preserve the place, it is reported that 6000 additional statues may be located in the center tomb.
