Mark Pilgrim’s fiancée Adrienne Watkins has been praised for surrounding the late radio star with love, support and positivity .

Mark Pilgrim may have died a frail man, following his tough battle with aggressive cancer, but he also died a happy and loved one thanks to his supportive fiancée Adrienne Watkins.

In the same way he lived his last days, the veteran radio star – who passed on Sunday, 5 March – was surrounded with positive and well wishes until the end.

Before retiring from

, Mark spoke passionately about embracing the love and help of his partner.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel last year, Mark Pilgrim reflected on the importance of having a supportive partner amid his cancer journey.

He said: “It’s one of my pillars towards my journey to recovery, of regaining my health. Because, let’s face it, to go through this on your own is so much harder”.

Praising Adrienne, he gushed: “I’m blessed to have an angel on this earth, Adrienne, who has been by my side from the word go”.

Mark revealed that Adrienne spent hours preparing healthy meals for him, according to his dietary requirements.

He continued: “It’s not just the physical or logistical side; it’s about the emotional support as well.

“Not every day is a good day. There are days when I am not feeling great, and she puts her arms around me and whispers in my ear how tomorrow is going to be a better day.

“If you’re going through a similar journey, my wish is that you have an Adrienne at your side too”.
