The Year Tinubu Went To China To Sign Lekki Free Trade Zone Agreement, Atiku Sold Niger Dock –Festus Keyamo

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and its major opposition, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have been recently tackling each other over the competence of their respective presidential candidates ahead of the presidential election.

The spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress Presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, in what looks like a jibe at the PDP, alleged that in 2006, the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, when he was the governor of Lagos state, travelled to China to sign the Lekki Free Trade Zone Agreement.

Keyamo said that this agreement would later allegedly lead to the creation of about 170,000 jobs in Lagos state. He added that the same year Tinubu allegedly made this feat, Atiku, the presidential candidate of the PDP, allegedly sold Niger Dock which led to many people losing their jobs.

Taking to his social media page, Festus Keyamo wrote: “Whist ⁦Tinubu went to China in 2006 to sign agreements relating to Lekki Free Trade Zone which now provides170k jobs and can generate $201B, same year Atiku sold Niger Dock, the largest ship fabrication yard in Africa for a paltry sum, rendering 10,000 workers jobless.”
