The governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara, has ordered all the commissioners appointed by the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, to tender their resignation letters.

This comes after 18 commissioners tendered their resignation on Friday morning, December 15.

Earlier, AmbaJay reported that some political leaders in the seventeen wards of Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers state have declared support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s administration.

This came after four commissioners who are allies of the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT),

 Nyesom Wike 

, dumped Fubara’s cabinet and resigned.

In a new development, the Rivers political leaders threw their weight behind Fubara and Edison Ehie, Rivers Assembly leader, urging them not to be distracted by the political happenings in the state.

The foremost constitutional lawyer said the Rivers state lawmakers whose seats were declared vacant were unexposed to sound legal advice.

Falana made this assertion in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, December 13.
